Pandemic Safety Guidelines

Due to the uncertain timeline of next year, these guidelines may or may not be enforced during our 2021 season.

Dance Out is committed to getting dancers and studio families back on our stage, but not at the risk of the health and safety of everyone involved. We have put together a plan for our upcoming regional events to help safety and social distancing in the future.

  1. Two to three studios will compete per session

  2. No Productions or lines will be allowed to if the number of dancers exceed 50 students

  3. Title Contestants will be judged on their solo score plus over all presentation.

  4. Dance Out judges will not penalize routines if lifts and partnering are not executed. We will leave these decisions to the teacher’s discretion.

  1. Dressing space will be adequate for distancing.

  2. Holding area for dancers will be spaced out to maintain social distancing.

  3. Spectators will be limited to teachers and 1 parent per student only. We will be live streaming the event for families and friends.

  1. Adjudications, Judges Choice Awards, Elite Performance Invitations and Contour Scholarships will be announced with no one on stage. Awards will be placed in a bag for studio to be picked up at the end of their session along with a summary of your awards.

  2. Overall Awards will be held at the end of all sessions.  Final Showdown contenders will be announced.

  3. 1 teacher and 1 representative can be present to accept all awards on your studio’s behalf.

Dance Out will have stations with wipes and hand sanitizers throughout the venue. Please do not attend if you are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19 in the 14 days prior to the start of the event.  Dance Out reserves the right to take temperatures at the door.

Guidelines are subject to change as determined by CDC recommendations, City of Kansas City the venue guidelines as well as Dance Out Competition.
